About the founder
Support Serve was started by a single founder who wanted skilled people to have an easy, free way to volunteer for causes they care about, and wanted small nonprofits to find that help without paying for a platform. It is run as a small, mission-driven project.
About our numbers
Counts on our site are live. "Volunteers" counts accounts with a volunteer profile. "Approved nonprofits" counts organizations a person on our team has reviewed and approved. "Volunteer hours confirmed" adds only hours that a nonprofit has confirmed; hours that are pending or rejected are not counted. Public totals count hours only and show no dollar value. Reports that nonprofits and companies download can show an estimated value of volunteer time at a labelled hourly rate. We do not show totals while they are too small to be meaningful.
Brand colors
Our look is a community noticeboard: warm paper, ink outlines and hard shadows.
- Ink: a deep navy-black used for text and outlines
- Paper: a warm off-white page background
- Blue: a bright royal blue for primary actions and links
- Sunshine: a yellow used for highlights
- Lilac, mint, coral, sky: soft accent colors used for cause categories
